  2. What are you suggesting? - Technical researcher NEEDS the ability to buy more armor charges. please add them to the F4 menu, and allow them to buy them from the armory. How would this change better the server? - It would make the armor kit last longer than 2 minutes. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - No. Who would this change mostly benefit? - Everyone Please link any workshop content, screenshots, or anything that you think may be helpful to those who view this suggestion - No, an admin has to add it to the F4 Menu and add the job to the armory whitelist
  3. In Game Name: October/Muramasa Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:76612986 Discord ID: Salamander Guy#6750 Squadron you are Applying for: Analyst Current RP Ranks Held: ADVR in Research, IN1 in Research Field Agency Has anyone recommended you to apply for the RRH program?: Most of the HCMD has pushed us to apply. If applying for Analyst please link notable test-logs here: How many warns do you have? (With Screenshot Proof): 1 as an SCP Why do you want to join the Red Right Hand team: I've been playing the server for a long time and I've realized that I'm always coming back for more when I test on SCPs and create stories for them. So, I believe that RRH may give me a source of engagement and information that I can tap into for more ideas (regarding testing and whatnot) and creative writing. I also believe that RRH may suit me due to the fact that I am in RFA. Also, every time I've worked with RRH they have been extremely helpful in my testing. It's always a pleasure to talk to them and its very clear that they're more than just [REDACTED] on the server. I hope that I can be a part of this awesome group of players. They're way more than what meets the eye! Why should we accept you: I'm a huge asset to the Research Field Agency as well as the Research Department as a whole, ask any OA, LCMD or even HCMD. I try to be active as much as I can, as well. I plan on doing a lot of different things with my future documents that may intrigue those who read them. Thanks for reading my application!
  4. 1. Name of the SCP you would like added: SCP-7056-GL 2. Link(s) to player models: N/A 3. Link(s) to SWEPs: N/A 4. How much health/armor do you think it should have? Invincible 5. Why should we add this SCP? Has potential benefits for all branches on the server. New weapons could be custom coded to combat this type of anomaly, potentially creating new roles, and could pave the way for similar anomalies in the future. If you decide to add it as a donator SCP, it can potentially help income. Adds more danger to the Site in an indirect way. Who would benefit? - Players who are looking for more SCPs. Research Department Security Department Chaos Insurgency D Class Personnel 6. Basic summary of the SCP: A player controlled portal anomaly that chases after people. When the anomaly is close enough, it can teleport the target to a random location or a location set by the player. 7. Extra information: Obviously a Euclid SCP, because the teleport function would be at the discretion of the player. Can only be trapped for recontainment by stasis device. Could be cuffed and brought back to CC after stasis, OR would be sent back to its cell by a teleportation device (level 3+ or higher, depending on role selected in F4 menu). If you wanted to add rules, you could say: >>Gold+ Only >>Level 50+ Only >>Teleport locations selected by the player are only allowed to be placed in: -Hallways and rooms in LCZ that are not blocked by locked/keycarded doors. -Hallways in HCZ only (no containment chambers). - (Dev setting) D class and CI cannot be teleported outside of the zone that they are teleported in. -Teleporting cloaked cloakers is failrp. -no thermals -Cannot team up with ANYONE -Cannot speak Has potential benefits for all branches on the server. New weapons could be custom coded to combat this type of anomaly, potentially creating new roles, and could pave the way for similar anomalies in the future. If you decide to add it as a donator SCP, it can potentially help income. Adds more danger to the Site in an indirect way. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - Could be used to minge/exploit. -Random teleport locations can be pre-set by staff if you want to minimize this. Unfortunately, this may have to be custom coded by the devs.
  5. I hope you enjoy! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1V0yTfr_WzXQmndVgKUuX4XkXwbAEHhypSO1zpbBr3nE/edit?usp=sharing
  6. 6/10! +interesting 106 test -Punctuation and grammar need to improve -Experiment-related equipment needs to be defined -too much copy and paste RFA OA
  7. 7.5/10! +The test was clearly visualized (description of sounds and areas). +"Juicer" functions similarly to a mobile SCP-294, and I like that idea. +Well done interview-style log. -Language and grammar could improve. -You did make the reason behind drinking SCP-5208-GL clear, however it could have been delivered to the audience in a more effective way. GOOD LOG!
  8. 9.5/10! +fantastic idea and very important discovery +troves of information Grammar and language were good, but could use a little improvement. Other than that... Great Log! Love reading these!
  9. SCP-527: An Emotional Interview Script Written, Recorded, and Produced by Andrew Carlucci Music Written, Recorded, and Produced by Andrew Carlucci SCP-527 Interview.mp3 October: *sips iced tea* This is Research Supervisor October. Today's date is January 1st of the year 2022, and I'll be doing an interview with SCP-527. October: You have been living here at Site-50 for quite a while now, yes? SCP-527: Living? I've been surviving! *exhales sarcastically* Do you have any idea what your team has put me through? October: Well, to an extent yes, I am a Research Supervisor- SCP-527: No! That's not what I'm saying. I'm asking if you know what's really going on with me. October: I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure as what you mean by that. Can you please elaborate? SCP-527: You guys send me a guy or girl to talk to every week. I form a great friendship with some of them. Some have even suggested a romantic relationship with me. And then all of a sudden, I hear they just "up and quit their job" or they were "assigned to a different department." Do you know how it feels to finally feel connected with someone, just for them to leave and never come back? October: I'm sorry, Mr. Fish. It must be extremely hard for you. SCP-527: Hard? No. You have no idea what emotions I feel when I meet some of these people. I am a sensitive person. Even though my body is different from yours, my mind is not. October: I'm really sorry Mr. Fish... I truly am. Is there anything we could do to make up for this? SCP-527: Well... I was always a really big fan of that... blob thing, whatever his name was... October: That would be SCP-999. SCP-527: Yes, him. I really enjoy talking to him. Can you bring him in, please? That would be great...
  10. +SUPPORT ABSOLUTELY FUCKING LOVE THIS GUY +active +great test logs +funny as hell +RP is great
  11. +SUPPORT Honestly such a great research command. Fun to hang around with, great player, skilled, etc. Nothing wrong with this guy. Only good things to say about him.
  12. THIS IS THE FIRST OF MANY. "Fall-Off-The-Bone Chronicles" is a large writing project I will contribute to over the next year. Eventually, every SCP in Gaminglight will try fall-off-the-bone ribs. Please enjoy my first addition to my special project: "Fall-Off-The-Bone Chronicles" https://docs.google.com/document/d/1K2rPFbzJX8XrzdMJhzPNm38of5p9tOvNK3c7WMQndos/edit?usp=sharing
  13. Wow. Very nice log. 10/10 +Clear details +Language used was great +The breaks in the text that notified a change in context and chronological events were well thought out and used nicely + PICTURES Overall great log.
  14. Good First Log! 7/10 - Format needs a lil work. When you change fonts, it messes with the line spacing and letter spacing. I typically switch fonts when I want to notify the reader a MASSIVE change in tone or mood, or big context switch. + I love 049 interviews. + I love the SCP header GOOD JOB!
  15. Great work! Love the style of this log. 9/10 +great grammar +great detail +great style -Try splitting different parts of your observation into smaller paragraphs. It will make your observations easier to read, and it will be easier for your audience to visualize what is going on chronologically.
  16. Looking forward to your interrogation if you get court martialed in Security for whatever reason. Thanks for being an awesome researcher!
  17. Name: SR SLTR October SteamID: STEAM_0:0:76612986 Current Rank: Senior Researcher Senior Lecturer Collective hours: 1 week Overall time in days/months: Month and a half Why do you want this postion? Science fiction and the SCP universe has always been a favorite of mine. When I found GL SCPRP, I didn't expect much at first. I thought it was going be just another RP server: Active for a little bit, just to die within a couple of months. However, this server has given me quite a fantastic experience. The way the research department combined RP with actual science fiction writing was an absolute game changer. I realized that I could put my love for science fiction (as well as writing) to great use; making test logs, working on long projects ("Fall-off-the-bone", "The Finer Things in Life"), even working with another researcher in google docs to create those documents! Then I realized this could become something much bigger. Something that could provide players of all ages something to look forward too. This something is experimentation. Normally, in the real world, you need years of college and graduate school in order to be considered for a position in a real scientific laboratory. However, this server gives that role to everyone who decides to join the Research Department. I absolutely adore the idea of exposing science-fiction reading and writing to the younger generation (especially the SCP Universe). I believe that everyone should have an enjoyable experience in that realm, whether it be in chair playing a video game, or in your bed at 11:00pm reading a Stephen King novel. Science Fiction is one of the best genres of literature the world has ever been blessed with. That being said, I want to be part of a stepping stone for the SCP universe, as well as the server. This server is a large part of some young people's lives (remember that!) If I were to acquire any command position in this server, I would be contributing not only to the server's success, but also the SCP/SCPRP universe, the science-fiction genre, and (indirectly) literature as a whole. What can you bring to the table that others can't? I am 20 years old, majoring in Communications. I want to go into Public Relations (PR) for business. I am quite good at interpersonal communication (exchange of information between people), as well as writing in both the science-fiction genre and formal documents created for large-scale presentations to a large group of people (ask me for more information on that, if needed). I have received many high grades in English composition style classes, most of my papers above an A. I also received a 94 on my New York State Regents exam, which was within the top 10% of my High School's 2019 class within the English department. This is important because my expertise in both communication and writing allows me to target specific audiences that may be view, listen, use, etc. my words/writing that they are exposed to. I try to keep all of my speeches and writing at a level that would appeal to this servers demographic. I am a (mostly) mature adult, which means that I am able to properly handle communicating with young children (or anyone for that matter) on the server (patience and support is important for handling minors and sometimes their troublesome behavior). This is important because our server receives new players on a daily basis, many of them well under the age of 18. I refrain from starting conflict with other players, no matter their age, race, gender, sex, political beliefs, hobbies, disabilities, etc. I pass no judgement onto others, even if they are viewed by the masses negatively (always keep an open mind). What would you do to better Research and increase activity? There are way too many ideas that I have that would increase activity on the server, so PLEASE ask me in TS/Discord/Email/etc. if you require more info. Below is a list of things I would propose/create/perform to the benefit of the research department: Supervision/support for our new players Many of our JRs are not sure how to have fun in the research department. I will show them how to have a good experience with testing as well as how to provide a good experience to Class D so that they may choose to join our branch. This is important because many new players leave our branch when faced with a complicated system that requires actual writing. Constant encouragement to write funny test logs. At first this might seem like an issue. However, I believe that having SCP-1234-J logs (or just funny test logs) of the SCPs in the server will give the JRs some flexibility as well as a boat load of fun. Writing can be EXTREMELY daunting. That being said, we should encourage everyone to write in whatever tone/mood they want. Research Writing Center channel on discord/teamspeak. Anyone who needs help with writing can enter this channel and request help with a document/test log/google and word docs, etc. (ESPECIALLY new players/young writers). I am sure that this will dissolve any concerns that new players/ test log newbies may have when writing their documents. They get to receive high-quality help to write a high-quality document! I believe I am qualified enough to help/tutor others with English writing. If you would like to read my multiple A grade papers, presentation visual aids and outlines, etc. please ask me to produce them. Mass tests, Research PT, and proper training is beyond beneficial for our JRs. Mass tests are fine, they can stay the way they are. However Research PT and the training guide for RRA needs a revamp. Please see me if you need more information. Thanks for reading! I hope you accept me! I love this server and the joy it brings me. Have a great day!
  18. THESE TEST LOGS WILL BE UPDATED OCCASIONALLY. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JO6HtSCiBxdoMuPGXqocwPDIg03aXH7kBx57InM45jM/edit?usp=sharing I HOPE YOU ENJOY!!!
  19. In Game Name: Masamune Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:76612986 Discord Name Salamander Guy#6750 No warns. I have been playing on the server for about a month now. I want to join Nu-7 because I'm looking for something more serious than GENSEC. MTF also has a nice team, I have spoken to some of them and they seem like a great bunch. I'm a great writer, and I understand the concept of RP very well, hence why my test logs from the Research department are some of the best on the server. I am hoping that I might be able to apply that to MTF. I also want to participate in MTF's main mission: the protection of the facility and it's resources from foreign and internal threats. If you are looking for serious players who are skilled in communication and writing, I am the right choice. My first life on the server is an Experienced Researcher under the name October, as well as a Research Field Agent under the name Muramasa (99% sure they count as one life AS A WHOLE). My second life is a Security Officer job under the name Masamune. I am also a donator. I get on the server every other day, and I try to be active every other day. I hope this gives you insight as to who I am. Thanks for reading!
  20. Experienced Researcher October SCP-009 Completed log of SCP-009's properties on Site 50 For background research, see here: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-009 (Disclaimer: I am no mathematician by any standards. Please forgive me if calculations are not 100% accurate.) (in our universe, the properties between the player and SCP-009 are different from the SCP wiki, which I will be going over in this log) Question 1: How long does it take for a person to be completely encased in red ice? Test Log 3/10 for 12/06/2021: D-Class by the name of sallymcsaggytits enters containment chamber. Timer starts as soon as he touches SCP-009. Red hue appears on D-Class 2-5 seconds after exposure. (D-class hue becomes increasingly more red, while movement speed drops at a gradual rate from initial exposure) D-class ceases movement and locks into place as they are frozen, completely encased in red ice. Time. Stopwatch reads 30 seconds. Results of Test: 30 seconds happened to be the average of all 10 tests. I figured. 3 minutes MINIMUM for contamination process to start like the wiki says would have been way too long for me to get a good test. Numbers: The average human volume is 62,000 cubic centimeters 62,000cc in 30 seconds SCP-009 spread rate = 2066 cc/s Question 2: How long would it take for the whole site to be encased in red ice in the event of a breach? Let's say, hypothetically, Site 50 had its own water source. We have no hazmat suits, no previous knowledge of what SCP was. And then some [REDACTED] dropped SCP-009 into the water main. (this would most likely be the optimal way to weaponize SCP-009) Numbers: On average, we have around 80 personnel inside of the facility, including D-Class. On average, we should wash our hands 6-10 times a day (COVID-19 Statistic). While highly unlikely, It would most likely take 12 hours for every person in the facility to become encased in red ice. Question 3: How long would it take for the world population alone to turn into red ice? Let's say, hypothetically, that every person on earth was holding hands in a line. One person touches SCP-009, and it can only spread once the entire person is encased in ice. Same goes for the next person, and so on. Numbers: As of December of 2021, there are 7.9 billion people alive on earth right now. On average, it takes 30 seconds for a person to become completely encased in red ice. (Gaminglight properties I tested for) The maximum amount of time it would take for the world population to cease to exist is 7516 years. (Keep in mind this is the MAXIMUM amount of time. if these people were bundled together, that number would most likely be 2 digits long) Question 4: How long would it take for the ocean to turn into SCP-009? Let's say, hypothetically, that someone dropped SCP-009 into the Atlantic Ocean and was NOT capable of changing it's temperature. We can assume it has the properties of ice and can only spread at 2066 cc/s Numbers: It is estimated that there are 321,003,271 cubic miles of water in the ocean. Because of SCP-009's properties tested at Site 50, SCP-009 can only spread at a rate of 2066 cubic centimeters per second (in the human body, at least). This is a fluid dynamics question. I am nowhere near qualified enough to answer this accurately, Therefore, I will leave this question open to anyone who can solve this equation properly while taking into account the properties of salt water and ice. (Sorry guys!) If I had to guess, however, the ocean would most like turn into red ice in under 100 years. Keep in mind, if SCP-009 were to EVER reach the ocean, life on earth would cease to exist within that time. Conclusion: We have learned a great deal about SCP-009. These are the questions I wanted answers to, and so I set out to find them. Hopefully whoever is reading this has learned a great deal as to the properties of SCP-009. Important Notes: According to Senior Researcher Hockey's Test at at Site 50, SCP-009 is capable of person-to-person contamination. (Imagine a D-class running through Light Containment Zone touching everything with SCP-009 in tow? What a disaster!)
  21. Researcher October, Assistant Researcher Bob, Junior Researcher Lampert SCP-1245-2 Will SCP-1245-2's SOS signal rate increase/decrease with change in emotional distress? For background research, see here: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-1245 (Our SCP Universe allows SCP-1245-2 to give out an "SOS signal every 15-20 minutes") Hypothesis: Due to the nature of SCP-1245-2, disturbing it through emotional means, whether it be taunting or shooting it, will increase the frequency of its SOS signal, ONLY IF THE SOS SIGNAL SOURCE DIRECTLY CORRELATES TO THE ACTIVE CONCIOUSNESS OF SCP-1245-2! If this is true, containment procedures for a future breach may change. If SCP-1245-2 engages in combat, or is directly communicating with another entity, we would be able to tell due to the change in pace of signal due to emotional distress/release. Observations (What Happened During Test): All personnel involved listened to their radios. We recorded the base rate the SOS signal was sent through the channels: 15-20 minutes. We were able to establish contact with this instance of SCP-1245-2, and confirmed that we were able to enrage it through taunting and other various phrases. I'd have to redact too many words if I included a full summary of what was said, so use your imagination to think of what young scientists would say to an anomaly in order to piss it off. Then use your imagination to imagine what an anomaly would say back if it were enraged (yikes). After 10 minutes of taunting, we listened to our radios There was no change. My hypothesis was wrong. SCP-1245-2 broke containment after being taunted for too long. It threw its weapon, a harpoon, through the containment cell glass entirely. This requires further study. D-Class that we brought along heroically picked up SCP-1245-2's harpoon and attempted to injure the SCP in order to save us, but missed. (Unfortunately, SCP-1245-2 caught the MTF Guard and dismembered his corpse as he screamed for help.) In that instant, I used my self-defense weapon to neutralize SCP-1245-2 and recontained it successfully. We concluded the test from there. As you can see, we are lucky that we only had one instance of SCP-1245-2. More would have caused a rather nasty situation. Contrary to what I thought, the SOS signal rate did not change. Upon further analysis, we have concluded that the SOS signal is not directly connected to SCP-1245-2's emotional consciousness. Because of this, we predict that the SOS signal is being sent through SCP-1245-2 via an outside source. Perhaps it is SCP-1245? Further testing is suggested. Even though my hypothesis was not correct, we learned valuable information that may uncover the whereabouts of SCP-1245.
  22. October Associate Researcher SCP-513, SCP-432 Researching level of fear when combining otherworldly apparitions with a dark room. (Possible danger to mental, physical, or emotional health?) Links to official Foundation documents regarding both SCPs used in test: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-513 https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-432 Hypothesis: Long term exposure to SCP-513 inside SCP-432 can cause mental and emotional health problems. Observations: D-2561 rang SCP-513. I immediately experienced intense anxiety. However, contradictory to everything we currently know about this SCP, I was the only one who saw SCP-513-1, even though the MTF guard and D-2561 were present during the ringing of the bell (neither of them were affected for the entirety of the test). We proceeded to SCP-432, and stayed inside SCP-432 for 5 minutes. I counted around 30 appearances of SCP-513-1. At this point, I was not able to concur what exactly was happening do to and immense amount of terror, and concluded the test from there. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: From personal experience, I can easily say that this was the scariest test I have ever done. I experienced intense anxiety firsthand, and these feelings were multiplied when I entered SCP-432. Analysis / Conclusions: This test confirms that the level of fear associated with SCP-513/SCP-513-1 can and most definitely will be multiplied when paired with a dark, gloomy room like what we have on site (SCP-432) Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Yes. Currently seeking psychiatric help. I'm going to need some powerful amnestics. Maybe SCP-999 could help? I know someone did a test on this and it worked somewhat...
