FE does the same job as combat engineer but can spawn armor charges, CA has a teleportation swep and an smg with a fast rate of fire, behemoth has a minigun, Enoch is 076 but she’s on our side, TRT runs faster, Rifle guardian can deploy cover to hide behind. CBRN is immune against infectious Scps. Despite all of these beautiful classes and all their abilities, our activity is going down. Why ? Because people just refuse to play on a generally weak class. It doesn’t matter what the job can do, why would you want to play on it when you get one tapped by almost any sniper available when you have so many other branches that are stronger. Our activity is going down because all of our classes with exception being HTF oh and also from what I've heard, the Freedom SR is just a slower barrett so the speed and jump boost would consist of their specialty, every other SF class as one, and since HTF are supossed to be spartans, It'd be real fun to have something to really show that they are Spartans. Finally, Behemoth who only have like 175/175 I believe and command. It’s hard to swallow and not an easy truth but it is what it is, the truth. And imo there is only one solution, of course that’s not a solution that everyone is going to like but there is no reason for people to play on a job with low hp and ap. I’m not a person who seeks to argue every time I get the chance too but this is just something that needed to be pointed out. (150 WORDS+): I should become a Senior command member every one of the following reasons that I will present to you. First of all, I have been with Gensec a very long time, and it was the first branch I had ever joined, and I remember first being trained by Fellow Wanderer, and boy have times changed. I also know the GamingLight community quite well, and interact with this community very often, most of which is through discord or TS, and I know I have a good relation with most of the people in this community. I also am the Head of the Juggernaut Subbranch, and have been orchestrating many things behind the scene's things, along with hosting Juggernaut Meetings whenever is possible, which my schedule does not help with in the slightest. I try to advance the Juggernaut Subbranch to the best that it can be, even if we have very bad odds facing us in many situations. If I were to become a Senior Command Member, I will have more power in what I am able to do for my subbranch, and able to do more things with the more Seniority that I have with it. I also am very active on this server, and will 100% continue to be active as much as I can, as long as school and life allows me to do so. I spend almost all of my free time on this server, not because I feel forced to, but because I enjoy spending time with enlisted, NCOs, and fellow command members. Command members provide a very nice structure to Dblock and Security as a whole, and I feel that I was able to move up into MAJ, I would be able to help with even more command tasks and have better performance from myself, because I would be able to do more things than I would be able to do as a CPT. I also try my best to be respectful in all situations that I encounter, and I will always be trying my best to listen and be nice to anyone that communicates with me. This also includes if they are being rude or disrespectful to me, I will always try to keep myself calm in all situations, and make sure that the situation is handled appropriately and competently. I also have had more than enough time to know how to be a proper Captain and do everything that I am required to do, and I know that I will be more than capable to handle any task that are required of me as a Major. I am a very quick learner, and if any new situations occur that I am unfamiliar with, I will try my hardest to learn how to handle the situation, and procced to execute that way in order to properly get the situation into order. I also am not afraid to ask questions to other people, and because I know much of the GamingLight Community, I will ask questions even if it is only something small that I do not understand, because I know that something small can easily turn into something large if I do not properly handle it. Overall, I know that I will make an amazing Senior Command member, because I have been with this community for a very long time, and I know that I will try my best in any situation to try to get the most optimal outcome that is possible. 11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?: The first thing that I would do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving Dblock is to ask them why. Now this can go two ways, If he gives me a valid explanation as to why he is constantly leaving Dblock, and there are enough personnel in Dblock to handle the current situation, then I would let him continue. If for any reason I think that his response to the question was not good enough of a reason, then I would procced to tell him to return to Dblock, and to not continue to leave Dblock for that specific reason. It would only be a verbal warning to them, because as a Security OFC they are most likely new to the game/Security, and I would try to help them on their journey through this server. If they for some reason continue to not listen to my commands to stay inside of Dblock, I will try one more time to get them to go back, and then if they do not listen then I will resort to punishments of sorts, even if that includes removal from Security. During this entire engagement I will try my best to be as respectful as I am able to, and make sure that they understand why they are in trouble in the first place. 12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?: Now, if an NCO continued to leave dblock with horrid reasoning, this would be an entirely different story than the Security OFC. NCO's are supposed to be the leading force in Dblock, and should be a great representation of who we want out of our lower Enlisted ranks. If an NCO is being a bad influence on who these Enlisted should be looking up to, then I would take him either to the side in game, or talk to him in TeamSpeak and inform him of the matter. I would make it very clear to him that If he were to continue with these actions, that further punishment WILL happen and he will get in trouble. I will remind him that he is what enlisted should be looking up to, and be a good example to the rest of security. After we have that conversation, I would allow us to part ways and for him to continue his duties, though I would keep a closer eye on him than the rest of the NCO's/Enlisted. 13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into D-Block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: If an E11 Private comes into Dblock and attempts to take command of all of the security, I would do the following. First I would either try to locate them in TS or one of their superior officers, and then inform them of what is currently going on. After informing their superiors, I would go to him directly and tell him what he is doing is not allowed, for E11 is not allowed in Dblock unless it is during very uncommon circumstances. I would make sure that he understands what I am telling him, and I would make sure he is to leave Dblock and not come back in unless those uncommon circumstances do occur. I will also to make sure to record/clip the entire process, as to give evidence to the command member/higher up that I was informing of the Privates behavior. 14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: During a promotion from Corporal to Sergeant, I would first explain the entirety of the NCO guide to them, along with answering any questions that come up during that time. After making sure they understand how to properly call protocols (they will be calling them more often because of their rank now) and fully understand the guide, I would inform him that he is now eligible to become an FTO, and I would explain what an FTO is and how it works. I will make sure that he has a forums account, and I will also make sure to inform him of the NCO activity logs, and how they operate. After all of that, I will then make sure that he knows how patrols work, and will encourage him to do said patrols, because other command members like highly of people who do patrols. After all is said and done, I will give him his Junior NCO WL and get him into Dblock.

Well, here I am. I really wish I wanted to stay, but it's just not there anymore. I don't have rose tinted glasses anymore like I did back in November when I got HOME. I've become jaded. I was never one to get very involved in what I'd call "server politics". Seemed a bit much for a gmod roleplay server. I loved Maintenance. Still do. Still think other branches, no matter what outward appearances may say, look down on it and Utility subconsciously, maybe even more. It's painful to see. To see so few in the meetings, around the server. No one has the magic anymore. I see a Maintenance member walking around, doing whatever, and it's just dull no matter what. It's like I have depression, but only on the server. Nothing has made me laugh on the server in months. Maybe it's just me, but the server has turned gray. It does not have its spark anymore. The updates make me feel nothing where excitement would normally lie. After a while, the gameplay got old. But that wasn't it. You can get tired of the gameplay after a month or two. It was the people. The friends I made on this server, ones I still keep in touch with even though they left. And there it is. I can't count how many people I know have left. For the overwhelming majority of my time here, it was for the people, not the game. Joined the server in 2019. Took a long break and came back around October 2020. 2 years, this run. 2 years. 2 years as maintenance total. Jameshi, the security coup man trained me, if anyone even remembers that anymore. 19 months as command. 14 months as Senior Admin alone. Staff for 18 total. Time as Senior Admin is 3.5x more than all my other ranks combined, isn't that something. You may have taken notice that Spixe recently got DoL. You may draw the conclusion that his promotion coincides with my resignation. Here's a gold star. I'm not one to be ambiguous. I don't bullshit and pussyfoot. DoL was really the only thing I was holding out on. Even if I got it, what then? Wait another year or two in an even more boring job to be promoted to an even more boring job? Ask a Site Admin member that's had it for a decent amount of time. Hell, ask an O5. Maybe it was Sparkle, maybe Hoovy, I don't remember. What I do remember is them wondering why anyone would want O5. They said it was the most boring job ever. Here's the part where I give the most inoffensive negative statement I can about a topic and still have to worry about whatever consequences our lords above, SMT may bring upon me. That's the state the server's come to, it's ridiculous. People are getting promoted WAAAAAAAAAAY too quick. Piller and Kevlar. 2 months from Lead Admin to SMT? What? JMT has gotten out of control with their powers. I never said anything at the time because I still had things to lose. Kevlar spawning 3 SCP SWEPs every session. TAlila literally just deleting broken signs when they were failed. Telling me not to say OOC info in site comms after I place the broken sign back and tell him he doesn't get to cheat . It's really sad to see server activity these days. Giveaways are thrown in as if they're air. Air the server needs to breathe, because without giveaways and all these mega events spiking player counts for a little bit the population would be nothing. Author of the clip is RankerZombie and everything. Clips himself being killed by security. You can clearly hear his voice and you know it's him that's ingame because of his typing. And, you know, the clip being from the same Medal account as his other infamous ban clips. I forwarded this to Weiss and Starstep. We were in a GC discussing it. All the discussion was in a call, however. After that day, Weiss said he would be handling it. Wait a few days. No ban on that steamID. Messaged Weiss on the 9th. Nothing. And here we are. Just a little tidbit there, (one of) ZJ's alts never got banned. Tbh they probably deemed it "inconclusive proof" or something like that. Edit: Not Star or Weiss' fault. +/- Support I understand why this suggestion was made. I do agree with Sprink that FTO awards would be something handled by the branch and not something you would see on the roster. Roster awards are for the branch as a whole, with certain exceptions like combat/non-combat or SFs. I think an all branch training award would be a decent idea except for the fact that allowing people to qualify would look drastically different depending on branch. A Security FTO could easily get 20+ trainings a week while an MTF or CI would need to really work hard to see those kind of numbers. Maybe if there was a way to quantify the requirements based on branch then it would be a better suggestion.

+support I like this idea, and I think it would definitely encourage ftos to train more. I know that maintenance has very little fto activity. (I am literally the only one who has trained anyone this entire week). So a new incentive to train would be nice. It doesn't appear anybody cares about fto of the week anymore
