  1. This is my official 48 hour notice. As of Sunday, August 7th, 2022, 7:20 PM EST, I will no longer be the Director of Logistics. I want it to be known, I am doing this partially of my own volition and partially being forced to. I hold no ill will to the people that are forcing me out, they are doing it for a real reason. It's just that I've drifted further and further from the server, wanting to play on it less and less as I play with other people on other games. Don’t get me wrong, I love Gaminglight and the server, I just haven’t wanted to play on it or had much fun when I forced myself to. Now let me get into the actual resignation... Also, I’m gonna bring back the tradition of putting music in your resignation. So, I’ll just put this here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NEDzPKNCjA I gotta say, it's been one hell of a ride. When I joined sometime during late January of 2020, I never expected to get so far into this community. I joined just to see what SCPRP was and maybe fuck around a bit and never touch it again. Instead I found this great and (usually) friendly community which I got sucked into. And I know I probably haven’t made that much of an impact on the server, but it really positively impacted me. Now, I guess I’ll quickly tell my experiences. First, Security… This was the first branch I joined and I was welcomed with open arms and had a lot of fun during my time there. Though, during my first run, I became inactive and got kicked out. And later, when I joined back, I saw how much Security had grown and enjoyed it (and got kicked out again). Janitorial, Technical, and now Maintenance… Janitorial was the second branch I joined and it was a stark contrast from Security. I enjoyed my time, walking around and cleaning everything. The roleplay was always fun. For Technical, I wasn’t in it for too long before Maintenance came but I still enjoyed it like Janitorial. Finally Maintenance… I never played too much on it but when I did get on, I had as much fun as I did on Janitorial and Technical. MTF’s… A1 was the first MTF I ever tried to join. And even though it didn’t last long, I still had fun on it. Heh… I do miss it. Nu7 was the only other MTF I tried to join (twice) and, the first time, it didn’t stick with me, but when I later joined, I had quite a lot of fun with you all. CI Mil... I wasn’t with you guys long but it was still nice being a part of it. I enjoyed the raids, PTs, and generally going against the Foundation every once in a while. Also, thanks to the long gone E4 Overseers for giving me a chance to join them. While I didn’t do too much as E4 (and later got kicked out), it still was fun. CI RnD... It was fun with you guys. I enjoyed the occasional RP, the raids, and the general fuckery that would occur. And thanks to the EOI Overseers for allowing me to join them as well. It was fun with the new Slueth. Medical… When I joined, I just wanted to help everyone by keeping them alive. I dedicated myself to it (at least I did some time after I was trained) and it became the branch I mainly played on. And I guess I should mention, I never had the intent on ever joining command of any branch but when Jack offered me the chance, I took it. And after that, I never expected to get so far. I started with just wanting to make it to Elite Medic, then got Doctor, then wanted to get to Manager, then got Chief Manager, then I got HOMS and I enjoyed my time as it. Being able to shape Medical how I saw fit. And initially, I didn’t do much. The occasional change here and there, but nothing major. Before I knew it, Medical was dead. There were hardly any training coming in and no activity. So, Zack and I made a change. It worked for about a month, then I held out hope for another month, then realized Medical had to change again. And so, I changed it to how it is today. Much better suited for the current state of the server, stable-ish activity, and flexibility for future server changes. I’m glad that I helped a dying branch and brought it back to a state of decency. Site Administration… Well, being the Director of Logistics was fun. It was great, after the responsibilities of High Command, to have less expectations. Though the things I was expected to do were more important. But I enjoyed my time. From helping Medical better than I could of as HOMS to getting to know and helping Maintenance where I could. It’s been a hell of a ride. There are four people I’d like to particularly mention first: Jack- You were the person who mentored me through Medical Command. First by bringing me into it, then by helping me learn my place, and finally by leaving me on my own as High Command. For the former two, I thank you. Good luck in whatever you’re doing now. Doggo- I didn’t know you all too much before you became the DOL, but when you got it, you were like my guiding hand, preventing me from doing something dumb. I probably would’ve been kicked out of High Command many times over if it wasn’t for you. I’m sad you just kinda fell off the face of the Earth. Sparkle- Damn bronies taking over Utility. But really, you did great. I expected you to be much like Doggo was, just a guiding hand to stop me when I overstep or do something dumb and just leaving me to my own devices otherwise. But, no. You threw yourself right in, got yourself involved, and honestly, shaped Medical for the better. You managed to get me active and doing my job again for a bit. And you’ve been a good friend overall. I know you likely won’t see this, but thank you. Starstep- Goddamn, another fucking mute. But really, you’ve been a great person. Much like Doggo, you just kinda kicked my ass when I was sitting on it. Though I feel you didn’t have to do it too much. Anyway, thanks for your help and support through my time. Good luck on getting SMT. And, there are a lot of you who’ve I lost touch with but still enjoyed my time with, like: Beanz, Crystal :V, Peters, Krieg, Tako, Poke, Tangerine, Price, Wanted, Lars/Otter, Infinity Boot, Inaccurate, Biggie Cheese, New Rowphin To some of the cool people I met: Maintenance Command in General- You all are very cool people. Thank you all for the absolute great work you all put in for a branch that, to be honest, isn’t in the greatest state. Keep up your amazing work. Techkat- Haven’t met you all too well, but I know you’ll do great as HCMD. Just try your best and Maintenance may stay alive. Loaf- Neat guy. Seems to be a bit shy, but has good intentions for Maintenance. Hope life goes well for you. Also, good luck as DOL, you’re likely next in line for it. Medical Command in General- You all have put in a lot of work for the branch and I appreciate you all for that. Much like the Maintenance Command, we all know the branch isn’t in the best state, but you’re doing what you can to help. Zack- You started as that inactive FWM that I passed. Then, I got HOMS and you got CM. Then, you started to get more active and became my right hand man. Then, you got HCMD and we started bonding over just about anything. I’ve spent a few nights just talking with you (which is something I’ve rarely done). It’s been fun fucking around in GMod, Muck, Minecraft, and everything else. I’ll try to keep a good relationship with you. And to those many of you I didn’t mention, I likely hadn’t had too much interaction with you, but we still likely had a good time. Sorry for the semi-long resignation, it’s hard to get two and a half years of experiences out in a compact manner. So yeah, I might be on the server every now and then. But for now, this will be my goodbye to Gaminglight.

  4. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : Shock Major Shy 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Shock Vice Commander 3. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I wish to be Shock Vice Commander for many reasons. I am on every single day. I am welly known through the community. I am on during active hours and down time hours. I would love to be a Vice Commander to help out shock and helping AHC to help out shock. I think I have gained experience of being a CPT in shock and now a MAJ. I'm Extremally active and I support anyone who needs help with there job in shock. I wish to see shock strive and have a big community and well known. I engage actively within the battalion and I hang out with everyone and I wish to have a bigger part for that. I want to help shock get bigger, and expand to reach its glory state. I want to make sure everyone to be a example to everyone and make sure people don't mess around when needed to. Making sure shock can have something to do every single day. Having fun with shock and hanging out with shock and enjoying the time with everyone. Making sims/missions for shock on the daily. Making it fun for everyone and making sure shock isn't disrespected and treated with fairness and equally. Interacting with everyone and shock and making sure shock is up to date with it's need's and acting professional on job. Id like to bring more activity and more things available to shock, and making shock fun and exciting. I've been on the server for two years in Gaming light. I've gain a lot of experience from this and others teaching me. Such as Bon, Ted, Proud, Dead and such more people. I've obtained so much knowledge about shock and how it works since I've been in shock for a long time now and I understand how it feels to become a shock member and a shock officer and I want to improve that for everyone in shock and their experience. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? 1,412:06/7 Weeks 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The purpose of being a vice commander is to assist the commander and lead shock in its entirely and make sure everything is set and stone. Assisting in making documents are up to date and setting examples. Making sure the battalion is doing its job and upholding its job as shock. Making sure people know what is right and wrong. Making people enjoy shock and enjoying there time on the server. Making sure the Officers NCO's and Enlisted are doing there job and setting examples to others. Assisting anyone who needs help in the battalion and making it fun in shock and enjoyable. I have been in shock for a long time I have understood the ranking structure and I've grown and learned a lot since I've been back. I am a understandable person, I always strive to get better and try my hardest to help anyone who needs it or to get better at my job! Assuring no one is outcasted in shock making everyone belong where they belong and making it fun for them in the mean time. Helping out the commander with any pressing things making sure strikes and punishments are handled properly and making sure roster is always up to date. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : Why you should trust me as a Vice Commander because I've been in shock for a while and I have learned the ropes. Even though I'm still getting used to things I think I am ready. Being in shock for so long I've experienced and saw things through. I have been helping people all around shock and everyone on the server. I make sure everyone is enjoying there time and having fun. I'll make sure everyone is in check doing what there supposed to do. Making sure roster is update and assisting the commander with anything that they need or want help with. Helping with documents that he is making or anything relevant to that. When I am on I am looking for ways to make the days of those on Shock better. I want to be picked because i want to show everyone shock can regrow and strive once again, making it popular and making it fun for everyone. I have shown that i am a calm person and level headed if a there is a problem. Dealing with that situation like a adult seeing it through and getting details before punishing said person or someone. Even though I haven't been a Vice Commander+ on Gaming light on other severs i was a higher rank and I think I have enough experience to become a Vice Commander. Making everyone's day and If I see them sad I'll cheer them up and hand with them, happy and turn there sad face into a happy face. Making shock a happy place to be in and not a bad place. I always make sure to take step by step for everything so I make sure I don't mess something up and make sure i do my job correctly. 7. How often can you be Online? : I can be online everyday for 6 or 7 hours at a time. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : I have one warn and its for FailRP | ARDM | Not waiting Cooldown This was in police rp and it was a year ago And ive grown to get better.

  5. What's your ingame name?: SCTSNR/Shore SSQLD SFC Jesus 4537 Whats your steamID?: STEAM_0:0:60504213 Did you read the ST Sop?: Yes. How long have you been on the server: 4 days in-game. How many warnings do you have?: 0 Why do you want to be a 2LT: (Minimum 1 Paragraph) I would like to be 2LT for a few reasons - To be more of a role model, guide and train STs to be the best they can possibly be, and to support the command team in order to help improve the battalion overall, as well as strengthen bonds with those who I work with. As a role model, I want to lead by example by showing STs how to act by following the rules, and will be straightened out properly if not done so accordingly. Guidance and training is also an important part of leadership because not everyone has the experience or know-how of what to actually do, and they will require a higher-up, or any sort of figure to improve them on whatever aspect or skill is needed to be improved. That also goes into training, as a healthy amount of SIMs and training exercises will get them into the motion of getting used to how we operate, even on-ship, which also increases our skill as working as a team, which I feel is one of the most important parts of leading a regiment. This also correlates to improving bonds, the more the STs know each other, the more comfortable they would be, and would make it easier to communicate with each other to work together in order to achieve whatever assignment is being given. It would also help for the newer recruits to get to know people, so that everyone doesn’t look like a complete stranger, and they would feel more welcomed to the server as our team would both help them grow and grow with them in each of their own varying ways. As for the final point listed, being at an officer rank will allow me to aid the two main sub-branches better, as the rank would allow more privilege and more permission for myself, putting me to be at a better point to support the Scout trooper and Shore trooper sub-branches, and it would be great to maintain it’s almost balanced numbers. What Timezone are you?: EST. How well do you command this Regiment?: (Minimum 1 Paragraph) I feel as though I command this regiment competently, as I host frequent tryouts to give everyone an opportunity to join the sub-branch, and have overseen trainings (admittedly, they’ve all mostly been SCT focused). As for actual on-ship roaming or when there is nothing going on, I’ll generally be calm and let the STs do what they want, but I will change to stern if the situation were to call for it, like if someone were to start minging and breaking the rules, or if I needed to give out PT. I will not hesitate to strip or demote someone of their rank if it’s needed, or take away their sub-branch, nor will I tolerate disrespect between fellow troopers. For events, I will leave most of the commanding to the highest ST officer on, but if it were to fall to me, I would keep in communication, making sure I had organization of the regiment. The STs would also do what was assigned by ground command, and stick to it, unless the event called for flexibility, and required us to complete a different task (assuming ground command permits us to do so). Part of why I feel I command this regiment competently is also due to the fact that I am understanding, and will hardly fail to empathize if someone has made a mistake for example, I will ensure they learn from where they had done wrong, so that they are able to better themself from the experience, as the best don’t always start out as the “best”, they mess up and learn from it in order to become the best. What makes you stand out from other applicants?: (Minimum 2 Paragraph) Experience, activity, knowledge, and sincerity are where I believe I stand out. Although not exactly Imperial RP, I have extensive experience on Clone Wars RP, and I can take both what I know from being there and what learning experiences I’ve had from my mistakes, and apply them to this regiment. Knowledge is also an essential factor to being a leader, as you literally need to know how to lead your troopers, such as knowing how to keep them in line, knowing the rules and SOP yourself in order to uphold the guidelines laid out by it. Activity, of course, applies not only to officers, but being a part of the regiment. It allows you to improve cohesiveness with others, lead events, and do activities with your team (SIMs, trainings, exercises), I am on for about 6-8 hours a day total. As for integrity, what I mean by that is sticking to SOP guidelines and rules enforced by command. If there is something specific not laid out by ST SOP, then I will talk it out with a member of command instead of assuming and going through with my own decision. Not following the guidelines could result in an officer doing his/her own thing, not in a sense that everyone should be doing the same type of training or SIM, but more so in the standards of how STs are being trained and led.

  16. This was very true. I was trying to protect my medical staff but I couldn't because I had an ACR against a zombie that had 4k health and claws that did 60 DMG (somethin like that). It felt more of an RDM event than anything, because there was no RP involved. No backstory was gave, no samples were taken of the zombies to try and reverse the effects and save them. They didn't even tell how they breached to my knowledge. Maintenance could've had a lot of RP by going to the CC and trying to fix it. Researchers could have RP by trying to reverse the effects of the specimens. Medical Researchers could've helped.

  19. Grade: 100/100 Lore: 25/25 Creativity: 25/25 Presentation: 25/25 Writing: 25/25 Extra Notes: Honestly I see nothing wrong with this log. Its creative, utilizes a well made format, does great for an off site, generally a really quality piece. A sizable and enjoyable length with some rather impeccable writing, which helps draw the reader in and explain the hypothesis and other details further. Well done!

  20. That... should be happening anyway? Is it not? This would be something to handle directly with the branches to pull back on expended usage of the Ethereal. Something simple as SCP recontainment should not be shortcut that much especially if nothing else is happening. The walk back smack talk is the best part of recontainment for both sides. +Support for the branches to look over their procedures if necessary. This issue doesn't need more than that.
