(150 words+): I would like to join the event team because I feel there is just not enough events going on at times. I also am very dedicated to Staff/Player interaction. I feel that if the staff are interacting constantly with the community for other reasons than just tickets/sits is a very big plus and shows the the staff is truly invested in the community. Speaking from personal experience, I can say I feel that this is an a topic that seems to be forgotten about at times in different communities, and that as a community member (not staff), I don't feel that communities that don't show this aspect much are not communities I tend to stay in for very often, and I do not want new members to the GamingLight community to feel the same. I believe that if I was to join the event team, I could further that Staff/Community interaction even more so than what I currently can as a Trial Mod. How will you assist the command with this rank? I will assist command by being able to more effectively add to the ranks of Nova, and providing Nova with more structure then it currently has. I will also be able to help command control the Battalion when they are not on, and encourage others to play when very few are on, which will help to spark more activity in Nova, and also being able to contribute to this by training more troops and being able to promote them, which will encourage activity. Why do you want to become an Officer? Because I think that Nova is a really cool battalion, I believe that Nova deserves to be on-par in terms of players and activity with other Battalions such as Shock or IF, and I always wanted to hold an Officer Position because I think it will be an enjoyable new experience for me. Do you have any experience leading/being an Officer? I have little to no experience as an Officer, however, as NCO I have done a good amount of leading the troops during SIMs and Events, as well as during normal ship activities. What is the purpose/duty of an Officer? The purpose of an Officer is to be the best possible role model for all other troopers and be the person that other troopers look up to the most, they should always be astute and aware. Officers should never abuse their rank, and should always stay humble around other troopers while putting those who lack discipline in their place. They need to host Tryouts and Sims and make sure that NCOs are up to par and trained, as well as making sure to always be there for NCOs and other troopers when they have questions or need help overall. An Officer should be the very best he can be. What qualifies you to be an officer? I think that my genuine understanding of other people, my helpful nature, and my leadership capabilities make me a great candidate for an Officer Position. I think that my ability to coordinate with other troopers, and the way I help other people when they need me to be there make me of the highest quality choices. About a week and a half. How will you assist Nova with this rank? By increasing the amount of Nova that plays during EST time zones, as well as overall numbers and trainings. Making Novatroopers a greater battalion that can compete with the activity and fame of more popular battalions such as DT or IF. Why do you want to become an NCO? Because I have been an NCO before and would love to be an NCO again, and I see a lot of potential in the Novatroopers Battalion as a whole, due to it's flexibility and spec-ops nature. I would also like to help other Novatroopers be able to do things like ID checks and Guarding Army HCOM more often, and overall make sure that the server gets familiar with the Novatrooper Battalion and our purpose. Do you have any experience leading / being an NCO? Yes, I was an NCO for Purge earlier in the server's lifespan. What is the purpose/duty of an NCO? To train other troopers and be an example for the enlisted ranks, and host tryouts and trainings. They are to be the rank above Enlisted, and make sure that the Enlisted troopers get familiar with the ship and the duties they will perform on it. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? I would bring him to me to a area that does not include other people, and then if he/she does keep on spewing offensive stuff, I would gag him. I would attempt to talk to him through chat and calm him down. I would view logs, see if he actually MRDM'ed, after a while I would ungag him, and if he is still cursing I would warn him for Staff Diss. My first and only long-term FTO was CPL DanielSem 1B91, who showed me the ropes of this department, what to do, what not to do, and everything in between. As I became a SNR I became known in the community and started to get to know veterans in the GamingLight Community such as MJay, Ghostly, Zage, Nucleus, and many more. I also formed great bonds and friendships with my other officers such as Dredgen, Tonto, ProdCode, and Joe Mama. Being a first responder in real life as a firefighter allowed me to be more comfortable with using 10 codes, talking over the radio, and overall gave me a great place to have fun and relax after shift or even after a long day of either stupid or difficult calls. When I first joined GamingLight my goal was to make new friends and help the RP Community, now my goal is to change the community, and attempt to make it better for those who play on, and a more fun RP experience for all of us. One of my goals is to add a Fire Department, for MVA's (Motor Vehicle Accidents), Car Fires, potentially added a Fire Physic into the game so we can add structure fires, possibly RP fire alarm and natural gas leak situations.
