    Increasing your chances of being staff!
    Here are some basic rules to follow when apply and playing to almost guarantee you a position on our staff team!
    Be chill. We are not looking for someone who gets very angry or is mean to our players.Fill out the application format correctly. This is often overlooked but if you fail to fill in the format completely or do it incorrectly we almost always deny the application.Take time to fill out the application! Take some time to fill out the application and really think about your responses.Do not ask in game or on the website for anyone to look at your staff application. This will be an automatic denial of the application.Do not ask in game or on the website for anyone to look at your staff application.  This is just a really important one so I put it twice. This is the most common way of being denied!

    Gaminglight

    In exactly 3 days, I would have found this community 5 years ago. The reason for me starting this community was to create a group of like-minded people that could create a friendly, chill place to play in their spare time. I was constantly playing Garry's Mod servers jumping from one to another trying to find a community that would offer a community where everything was laid back and problems we solved in a good matter. From the lack of finding servers like the one I just described, I founded Gaminglight. We began with DarkRP and developed the community into having many servers including SchoolRP, WalkingDeadRP, ZombieRP, TTT, MethRP, and others.
    The joy that I got from running these servers and seeing people playing and having fun is unexplainable. Eventually, the mood of the servers changed pretty gradually to a hostile environment where those that spoke out against problems with staff and the server were instantly blacklisted and shunned. I would join TeamSpeak and the forums to see every morning that someone new was blacklisted or banned. It broke my heart to see that we were turning straight to blacklisting instead of working out problems with people that were/are very loyal to our servers and communities. In all communities, there will be problems and those that cause issues. In all communities, there will be people that abuse powers and hurt people in the process. I would like to personally extend my apologies to anyone that thinks that they were treated unfairly by former management.
    We will be having a huge change of vibe over the next few weeks within the community. This community, Gaminglight, will be a place of friendly people just trying to hang out and have a good time. That's it! Thank you to everyone that has remained loyal to Gaminglight and those that have come back regardless of past treatment.

    If some needs there member tags what do you ask for?
    Steam Account/Website Account - If a player refuses then just move them out (Give them 3-4 chances)
    If some request a Manager/CM/Owner what do you do?

    If a player is screaming and Threatening you what do you do?
    Contact a higher ranking staff to deal with the issue/Remain Calm/Attempted to calm the player down.
    How would you deal with an abuse complaint against players/staff?
    Link them to the format and explain it to them.
    When you are on duty as support where should you be?
    Support Standby Channel.
    If someone has a donation issue what do you do?
    Get there steamID, and ask them what server, Then contact a manager+ (From that server).

    No Backseat Moderating:
    Let the Forum Moderators do the moderating. Backseat Moderating is when people who are not Moderators try to enforce the forum rules. Whenever you see a person breaking the rules, take advantage of the "Report this post to a moderator". Or simply IGNORE the offensive post(s) or thread. The most common backseat reply is the "+1 in before lock" phrase. Backseat moderating is annoying, and pointless.
    This also includes - Telling people they are accepted or denied on their app, telling people their getting demoted ect... This also includes ANY other jobs that staff do on the forums.
    Keep Negativity to a minimum we are gaming community!
    Signature/Supporting Apps/Quoting/Other
    Signature should not contain any Racial/Inappropriate content and Video's. Manager's+ Have the right to edit any signature without the player knowing if they feel it is breaking the rules. Please ensure your signature is sensible and does not contain text that is size 72 and bright green.
    Supporting apps. When supporting an app please ensure you give a valid reason. Do not go -/+ Supporting an app for a server you do not play on.
    Signature Should not contain any forum of Picture or Gif. (Graphic Signature art is allowed)
    You MUST NOT Quote/Reply to players in your application, Once you have posted your application Do NOT reply to anyone on that Application. If you do your Application can be DENIED

    Chain of Command
    As we come further into the new year we are implementing some changes into the server and into the staff team. One of these changes is Chain Of Command. It was in place before but was never really enforced or much information given about it.
     
    What is Chain Of Command? - Chain Of Command is where you need to goto the lower ranks first before you come to Management. 
    How is it going to work? - As most of you have seen we have recently added in Senior Management Team and Executive Management Team, These consist of the Higher ranks being in one team. 
    Head Admin - Head Of Staff - Manager Are all a part of Senior Management Team (SMT)
    Community Director - Community Owner Are a part of Executive Management Team (EMT)
     
    From now on people are required to follow the chain of command. If you have an issue on a server take it to a Head Admin first, If you cannot find or speak to a Head Admin goto a Head of Staff, If you are unable to speak to them then goto a manager. Managers should always be a last resort. Managers will ask if you have followed the chain of command.
    SMT Should always be contact first before you goto Executive Management Team. Executive Management Team should always be last resort and you should always goto SMT before you goto EMT. 
    Best way to contact SMT is goto support and ask for support staff to move you info the Requesting SMT room. 
    (I will make a list soon of what determines who you should goto for what)
